Daylite Lodge Masonic News

FROM THE EAST

Dear Brethren. .I trust you all had a happy and safe summer and are as excited as I am to get together in the spirit of Masonic brotherly love and affection. We will continue our unparalleled degree work thanks to our excellent coaching staff headed by Bro. Gordon McCormick HPM. I would be remiss if I didn't mention a huge thank you to all our brethren who took the time to investigate applicants, you are the first link in the Masonic chain of brotherhood and thus ever so important. Thanks also to our secretary, David Loban for making the investigation/applicant connections, outstanding work. I'll be asking our officers to "step-up" and practice above their present positions to keep us covered for absences, including my own from the first stated meeting, (as my job ends shortly, I can't turn down work!). Please keep Oct. 9th free to assist us with the Open House, as mandated by Grand Lodge, and bring some friends and neighbors who might be interested in Masonry. See you in lodge Fraternally, Tommie PM.

FROM THE WEST

Brethren We as a band of friends and brothers can do more than individuals are capable of. It is the interaction with each other on a weekly basis that seems to give us our strength. For those who have not been to lodge recently, come on out and give the rest of us the opportunity to benefit from your input. As Sr. Warden, please let me know of any sickness you may be going through, so that I can convey the information to the members, and they in turn can respond. I will be going to Florida for a few weeks starting Mid- February, and will return Mid- March. 1 feel the Brothers backing me up are well prepared to step in for me. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. See you on my return.

Alan SW.

From the Secretary:

Welcome back brothers, Dues notices for 2011 are being mailed. Those who pay early do a great service to the Lodge finances. 10 members were suspended for non payment over several years. We always stress, if you have a problem, call or write to the Lodge, we will always help a Brother in distress. Also, if you have a change of address or phone number, please notify us as soon as possible. Since we have a number of younger Master Masons, I would recommend considering life membership. Details from the secretary. Another worthwhile group is the "Widows and Orphans fund". When A Brother passes on, a payment is made to his next of kin.

Happy New Year to our Jewish Brothers.

Dave

  HAVE YOU HEARD.....

During the summer recess, the Masonic Breakfast on Friday Mornings at 8am at Arizona Charlie's was well attended. Bro. Bud Elkins spending the Summer at his ranch in Colorado. Should be back in time for Lodge opening. 1 now have the police force helping me with investigations! Brothers James Rogan and John Pelletier volunteered. They will also be Stewards in the new line-up. Master-elect Bro. Alan Butterfield will be your new Secretary in 2012. He is business oriented and will be an asset to the Lodge. The office needs an address for Bro. Sam Donitz and Bro. Harry Kwasnick. Happy birthday to those Bro's born in Sept. & Oct.

fraternally, Dave.
